Day 1: Kruger National Park (South Africa)

 Departing early from Johannesburg we head off the plateau towards the Kruger National Park, stopping en-route for breakfast (own cost).

The Kruger National Park is home to 147 mammal (including the Big 5), 114 reptile, & 502 bird species.

Once inside the Kruger we will be on the lookout for wildlife on route to our camp.  After setting up camp you will have a chance to relax for a couple of hours before heading out on an evening sunset drive with your experienced Kruger National Park guide.  This drive lasts between 3 and 3.5 hours, which gives you the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife.  On your return your guide will have dinner ready for you.

Day 2: Kruger National Park (South Africa)

 Starting the day early you will head out on a full day’s open vehicle game drive with an experienced Kruger guide, who will drop you off back at camp in the afternoon.

 Day 3 Blyde River Canyon(South Africa)

Leaving the camp in the Kruger NP we make our way through the panoramic Route to where will stay for the night, the Blyderiver Canyon. We visit Golds Window, Burkes Luck Potholes and the Blyderiver Canyon view point before we reach the lodge for the night

Day 4:  Tivan Safaris (South Africa)

 Leaving early this morning, we make our way west, across South Africa to our next destination which is situated close to the border of Botswana. Our overnight stop is on a game farm which has many species of game that come to the Dam for drink in the evening

Day 5 Nata lodge (Botswana)

Today we make our way into Botswana and once across the border we make our way north through the country towards the Chobe national park. Our camp for the night borders on the Makgadikgadi Pan. The lodge is situated between the Makalala palms that are found in Africa.

Day 6:  Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

 This morning you will enjoy a game drive in the Makgadikgadi Pan that your guide will organize for you, once back your guide will have your breakfast ready.

We leave after breakfast today and make our way towards the Zimbabwe border post.  From the border we drive another hour to the vibrant town of Victoria Falls where we will be spending the next 2 nights.  Our camp is situated in the middle of town, within 10 minutes walking distance of just about everything.  Your guide will assist you with the bookings of optional activities.  The US dollar is the currency to use in Victoria Falls / Zimbabwe.

This afternoon we will visit the magnificent Victoria Falls National Park, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.  The Falls are 1700 meters (1.1 miles) wide, making it the largest sheet of falling water in the world.

Later on today we will head out on a sunset cruise on the beautiful Zambezi River, the 4th largest river in the world, and the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, with national parks on either side.  You have a great opportunity to see animals coming down to the river for a drink, as well as a fantastic variety of bird life.  We often see elephants, zebra, blue wildebeest, rhino, buffalo and a variety of antelope species.  Obviously hippo and crocodile are plentiful in this region.  All soft drinks, wine, beer and some snacks are included in the cruise.

Day 7:  Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

 Today is free for you to spend as you please.  Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas offer a great variety of things to see and do.  You will have plenty of time to explore the town, meet the locals, visit the African markets with their wide

variety of arts and crafts made from wood, stone and beads, or to relax by the pool at the campsite in the heat of the day.  The Victoria Falls region is nicknamed the adventure capital of Africa for a reason.  It is well known for its large variety of fantastic activities such as the best one day white water rafting in the world, the 111 meter bungee jump off the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia, elephant back and horse riding safaris, flights over the waterfall, canoe safaris, fishing trips, game walks, abseiling, gorge swings and much more.

Day 8:  Chobe (Botswana)

 This morning you have some extra time to explore the town of Victoria Falls before departing for Kasane the small town on the edge of Chobe National Park. You can relax for the afternoon or explore a bit of the surrounding area

Day 9 Chobe National Park (Botswana)

This morning there is an option early morning game drive (own cost), this time into the Chobe National Park, returning to camp in time for breakfast.

This afternoon we will embark on a river cruise on the Chobe River, widely thought of as being one of the best river cruises in Africa.  Apart from a huge variety of birdlife, you may also see crocodile, hippos, and probably even elephants washing and playing in the water.

Day 10: Selebi Phikwe (Botswana) 

Departing after breakfast, we make our way back though Botswana, and travel south to Selebi Phikwe, arriving late afternoon your guide would have booked a late afternoon boat ride on the Letsibogo Dam, famous for its Bass fishing

Day 11: Pilanesberg Game reserve (South Africa)

Today we make our way back to South Africa, once the border procedures are taken care of we make out way down to Pilanesberg NP for the night.

Pilanesberg National Park exists in a transition zone between the dryness of the Kalahari and the wet Lowveld vegetation. This rich transitional zone attracts an incredible variety of game animals, flora and fauna that are not often found living side by side. Virtually all of the animal species native to southern Africa can be found here, including the Big 5, wild dog, Roan, Tsessebe, Sable antelope and more than 360 species of bird.

Day 12: Johannesburg-South Africa

After a last morning open vehicle game drive we make our way back in Johannesburg, you will visit the market where you can do your last minute shopping and also have lunch at one of the restaurants in Hartebeespoort Dam before arriving back to your accommodation in Johannesburg early afternoon
